Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver production software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Build and operate agentic solutions on NEO, including agent execution, micro-VM sandboxing, A2A and MCP integrations, memory layers, retrieval, and evaluation harnesses.
- Deliver full-stack TypeScript/Next.js applications using the Salt Design System and virtualization at scale.
- Write, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Establish standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
- Implement permission-aware and auditable agent execution with fine-grained authorization and runtime policy checks.
- Identify and automate recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and mentor Lead and senior engineers.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language, with strong Python required.
- Production experience delivering React and Next.js web applications, including real-time UI through SSE or WebSocket and work with a component or design system.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems, including tracing, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and technical software processes.
- Practical cloud-native experience with production Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, embedding-based retrieval, Graph RAG, A2A, MCP, multi-agent orchestration, sandboxed code execution, agent memory, LLM evaluations, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and data observability or metadata management tools.
