Base Salary

$207k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test logic, state machines, and algorithms for the Telos robotic platform.
  • Develop C++ real-time code on Linux-based operating systems and implement production software using C++ and Python.
  • Contribute to robotics application-level infrastructure, software architecture, testing environments, and simulation systems.
  • Collaborate with software, controls, systems, and hardware engineers on medical robotic applications.
  • Use clinical, user, and customer requirements to guide software development.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with controls, robotics, and state machines.
  • Proficiency with C++ and Python.
  • Experience with robotic control, real-time state-machine design, object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, multithreaded applications, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience developing robotics algorithms, real-time software, and safety-critical applications.
  • Experience with ROS and QNX/real-time operating systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills and experience working in an Agile development environment.
