Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain engineering infrastructure, tools, and services powering CI/CD for Microsoft Learning and Skilling platforms.
- Develop, test, deploy, optimize, debug, and maintain scalable and secure application and database features for Skilling platforms.
- Build Copilot and other AI-assisted application features and develop or use AI/LLM models to analyze test failures and identify root causes.
- Support existing services and enterprise integrations while improving service reliability, observability, debuggability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Automate manual testing, integrate test automation and quality gates, and improve test framework reliability.
- Lead software engineers and provide technical and architectural direction across teams and organizations.
- Identify dependencies, coordinate cross-team work, resolve conflicts, and manage downstream and upstream effects of technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute documentation, skill-building sessions, reusable guidance, and internal technical communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience with cloud development principles and patterns, including loosely coupled architectures, microservices, and DevOps models.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent languages and frameworks.
- 7+ years of experience leading, managing, and driving technical and architectural dependencies.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and ASP.NET.
- 3+ years of production experience with infrastructure templates and scripts, including ARM templates or Bicep, and building deployment pipelines from scratch.
- Experience with Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture, migrations, technology management, App Service, AKS, ACA, Functions, APIM, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience designing and shipping AI/ML or GenAI solutions involving RAG, enterprise search, vector retrieval, LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, AI evaluation or monitoring, and safety or quality measurement.
- Experience building telemetry, error reporting, observability modules, pipelines, and dashboards.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, problem solving, debugging, and CI/CD test-gate tooling.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across software engineering, program management, product, design, and data science teams.
