Base Salary
$130k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Support development and deployment of on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
- Automate deployment processes and ensure service reliability and scalability.
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve processes and tools for high availability and performance.
- Stay current with technologies and industry trends and identify infrastructure improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A current TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 5 years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years of relevant experience with a master's degree, or 9 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting knowledge is required.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet is required.
- Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, and Lambda is required.
- Experience with application and operating-system deployment, scaling, and management is required.
- Ability to program in multiple languages such as Bash, Python, or Go is required.
- Familiarity with Git and software development tools is required.
- Strong problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills are required.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites is required.
- Must obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must work on-site daily at the customer location in San Antonio, TX, with occasional work-from-home opportunities and schedule flexibility.
- Preferred experience includes big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
- Experience with EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform is preferred.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $130,000-$270,000.
- Up to 20% 401k contribution with no matching required and vesting from day one.
