Base Salary

$102k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build, improve, and deploy scalable and highly reliable services.
  • Improve engineering systems and practices for delivering services in complex cloud environments.
  • Investigate pre-production and production issues and implement and deploy fixes.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, typically one week every 6–8 weeks, within a secure facility.
  • Meet Microsoft’s culture and values expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before the offer and after hire.
  • U.S. citizenship, subject to applicable citizenship-based legal restrictions and verification.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.

Benefits

  • Base pay range is USD $102,100–$202,200 per year across the U.S.; a separate range of USD $133,800–$219,200 applies in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is based in a secure facility and includes a recurring 24/7 on-call rotation.
