Base Salary
$160k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define architectural standards, patterns, best practices, and AI-development guardrails for workflow platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, event-driven, and service-based workflow architectures.
- Architect solutions using Temporal.io, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM, Drools, custom services, and Java-based ecosystems.
- Use Claude and Copilot to accelerate solution design, code generation, documentation, and SDLC execution with appropriate validation.
- Contribute to the Workflow Center of Excellence by driving governance, reusability, performance, and AI-native standards.
- Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-native deployments on OpenShift and AWS.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code and design reviews, and enforce engineering rigor.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, security, data, and AI teams on workflow and SDLC integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of application architecture experience with enterprise-scale systems.
- Strong expertise in workflow orchestration, distributed systems, and integration design.
- Experience with Temporal.io, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM, and Drools.
- Strong development background in Java-based ecosystems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience using Copilot and Claude for AI-assisted development.
- Knowledge of APIs, security controls including SSO and RBAC, and scalable system design.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, with SAFe preferred.
- Preferred experience in AI-native SDLC environments, governance of AI-generated code and workflows, multi-platform workflow architectures, healthcare IT, or payment integrity systems.
- Ability to translate business needs into architecture requirements and explain advanced technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
