Responsibilities
- Ship production code across the transaction routing and processing stack.
- Own well-scoped features and bug fixes from design through production.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for live payment systems.
- Develop expertise in Java, distributed systems, and payment processing.
- Collaborate with senior and staff engineers to expand technical scope.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, including deploying and operating mission-critical services in AWS.
- Solid Java fundamentals and willingness to deepen Java expertise.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues.
- Strong communication skills and openness to asking questions and receiving feedback.
- Preferred: exposure to payment processing, card issuing, network integrations, cryptography, key management, on-call, or production-support work.
