Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, monitor, and support scalable application and platform capabilities.
  • Build full-stack product experiences with Python, Django, TypeScript, React, backend services, APIs, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Product and Architecture stakeholders to translate product direction into maintainable production software.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, estimation, delivery planning, and implementation decisions.
  • Modernize applications through refactoring, technical debt reduction, framework upgrades, and legacy-pattern migration.
  • Develop workflow, document review, collaboration, reporting, customer interaction, and technical work-product capabilities.
  • Integrate data-driven, search, agentic, and AI-enabled features into production web applications.
  • Collaborate on Azure AI Search indexes, retrieval pipelines, model and agent outputs, calculation services, data APIs, and evaluation approaches.
  • Contribute to source control, automated testing, deployment automation, environment management, monitoring, observability, and incident readiness.
  • Follow secure development practices aligned with internal standards, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and enterprise security expectations.
  • Own features, services, defects, and technical improvements through production support, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing production software in application engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Strong production experience developing web applications, backend applications, APIs, and services using Python and Django.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs and building distributed or service-oriented application capabilities.
  • Experience building, modernizing, or operating scalable production web applications supporting complex workflows, collaboration, reporting, document review, or customer-facing delivery.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-hosted applications, with practical AWS experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software design, testing, code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
  • Experience with automated testing, source control, code review, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools or LLM-enabled coding workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform Reliability, and cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong English communication skills and ability to work across globally distributed teams.
  • Preferred qualifications include product-led or platform-based organization experience, low-code or hybrid development familiarity, enterprise interoperability experience, Microsoft Azure or broader multi-cloud experience, and experience in energy, infrastructure, renewables, assurance, certification, or other technically complex industries.
