Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of scalable, high-performance applications within Citi’s Insight regulatory reporting framework.
- Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, real-time messaging systems, and Big Data technologies.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows for large-scale regulatory reporting.
- Define and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and application design.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, business stakeholders, and management teams to deliver system enhancements and new capabilities.
- Evaluate complex business and system processes and develop innovative solutions to high-impact technical problems.
- Mentor and coach mid-level engineers, developers, analysts, and allocate work as needed.
- Assess engineering risks and ensure compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on backend engineering and enterprise-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with advanced knowledge of SQL and real-time messaging technologies.
- Experience building and delivering microservices-based architectures in production.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including guiding engineering teams and allocating work.
- Ability to design software architecture and conduct trade-off analysis across complex technical environments.
- Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineering and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
