Responsibilities
- Complete a final-year training project titled “Characterising embedded processors for avionics use cases.”
- Set up a commercial embedded development board and its software environment.
- Define representative avionics workloads and develop automated test, measurement, and benchmarking tools.
- Evaluate performance, predictability, and resource usage under different operating conditions.
- Assess the platform’s suitability for avionics use cases and provide recommendations.
Requirements
- Be studying Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related degree.
- Have general knowledge of C programming, computer architecture including processors, memory, and peripherals, and Linux.
- Have English proficiency at minimum B2 level, with C1 desirable, and Spanish proficiency at minimum B1 level.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, collaboration, and international working skills.
- Python scripting, graphics processor programming, embedded boards or programmable logic, real-time operating systems, AI on embedded devices, and interest in safety-critical systems are valued.
