Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Perform RMF Authorization to Operate and NSA Type 1 Cryptographic Certification activities, including security documentation, evidence, and assessment artifacts.
  • Decompose, allocate, implement, and verify cybersecurity requirements across system components and interfaces.
  • Analyze requirements, models, interfaces, and architectures to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation recommendations.
  • Lead security engineering inputs for design reviews and document security risks, requirements, recommendations, and resolution status.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers and software and hardware developers to integrate security requirements and track issues through closure.
  • Develop and execute security-focused software verification and validation plans, procedures, test cases, test conduct, results documentation, and remediation analysis.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity activities across engineering and test organizations and communicate technical findings to program leadership.
  • Assess security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry practices for their impact on system architectures and implementations.

Requirements

  • STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date.
  • Experience performing cybersecurity or product security engineering for embedded, aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical systems.
  • Experience with security-focused system verification and validation, RMF processes, cybersecurity requirements engineering, security risk analysis, and technical security documentation.
  • Preferred qualifications include an active Top Secret clearance, NSA cryptographic certification, Cross Domain Solution requirements, NIAP, DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Cameo, security certifications, embedded security protocols, DoD security assessment tools, and satellite or communications systems experience.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines, communicate technical security risks, and drive security activities to completion.
