Base Salary

$200k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve platform architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including networking, compute, storage, and environment strategy.
  • Drive cloud modernization, migration, re-platforming, deployment standardization, scalability, and resilience improvements.
  • Establish reliability standards involving SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, capacity planning, incident response, and postmortems.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, tracing, dashboards, runbooks, and operational readiness to reduce MTTR and recurring incidents.
  • Lead technical architecture and operational-control work for FedRAMP and government cloud certification readiness.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance on identity, access, auditability, logging, change management, and incident processes.
  • Establish engineering standards, architecture reviews, coding and testing practices, CI/CD quality gates, and production-readiness expectations.
  • Create reusable platform patterns, templates, libraries, tooling, and golden paths.
  • Mentor senior engineers, tech leads, and emerging technical leaders and influence decisions across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Java/J2EE, Oracle, Postgres, React, and Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure and the ability to work deeply across architecture, performance, reliability, and operations.
  • Experience designing and operating resilient, scalable distributed systems for B2B SaaS.
  • Experience with global cloud systems, including multi-region architecture, disaster recovery, high availability, and data residency considerations.
  • Experience supporting FedRAMP or comparable government cloud certification efforts, or operating in similarly regulated environments.
  • Ability to influence without authority, align stakeholders, drive decisions, build consensus, and write clear design and architecture documents.
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring impact across engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, platform tooling, service meshes, policy-as-code, internal platforms and shared services, identity and authentication, developer tooling, CI/CD platforms, and FinOps or cloud cost optimization at scale.
