Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure cloud-native, microservices-based applications.
- Use domain modeling and scalable architectural patterns to build clear, testable, evolvable business products.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain high-quality production code.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve operational stability.
- Investigate and resolve application and system issues while keeping technologies and patterns current.
- Design reliable solutions that avoid single points of failure and support zero-downtime releases and optimized data performance.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and share emerging technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational support.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, Flask, and Django, with experience building microservices-based applications.
- For full-stack work, proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, distributed systems, web technologies, RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, JSON, and scalable applications.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, application resiliency, automation, and continuous delivery methods.
- Experience with software development life cycle practices and agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, drive broader impact, and contribute software engineering best practices.
- Experience in the banking domain and AWS certification are preferred.
