Base Salary

$185k - $217k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define technical strategy and architect scalable AI/ML platforms and solutions with stakeholders.
  • Own the end-to-end architecture, development, deployment, scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML systems.
  • Lead development, evaluation, fine-tuning, and monitoring of production-grade AI/ML models, including LLMs and RAG architectures.
  • Design and standardize GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and Terraform infrastructure-as-code deployments.
  • Monitor system health, lead critical incident response, and refactor architectures to remove bottlenecks.
  • Mentor L1/L2 engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and vendors and prototype new approaches.
  • Lead technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer focused heavily on production ML systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD in AI/ML is preferred.
  • Proven experience taking AI solutions from concept to high-scale production using Python, Java, Go, or C#.
  • Deep experience with generative AI, prompting strategies, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
  • Strong distributed-systems and microservices architecture skills for model serving.
  • Expert Python proficiency preferred, or proficiency in Java, Go, or C#.
  • Deep knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vLLM.
  • Advanced understanding of MLOps, feature stores, and model monitoring.
  • Strong probability, statistics, and linear algebra knowledge.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes and cloud-platform experience, preferably AWS.
  • Strong Terraform and CI/CD knowledge.
  • Strong data engineering skills involving SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, and processing pipelines.
  • Financial or fintech industry experience is a plus.
