Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed open-source message broker systems and large-scale solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers and RabbitMQ and Apache ActiveMQ project maintainers.
- Influence product strategy, define the team roadmap, and drive system architecture.
- Spearhead engineering best practices for a high-quality product.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

- Base salary range is CAD 150,700.00–251,700.00 annually; total compensation may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
