Base Salary
$148k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pay-related features for jobs, worker provisioning, contracts, and integrations.
- Design scalable, resilient, and robust critical services and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Develop backend services with Python and frontend experiences with React.
- Work effectively with ambiguous requirements by breaking large projects into smaller deliverable parts.
- Maintain high standards for well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Mentor other engineers and share technical knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web services.
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Deep proficiency in Python and experience with a Python web framework such as Django or Flask.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Knowledge of SaaS applications, multi-tenant architectures, DevOps/CI/CD practices, and Agile/Scrum development.
