Performance Engineer (China Market)

Responsibilities
- Optimize and improve the performance of the trading stack using low-latency technologies such as microwave links and FPGAs.
- Capture and evaluate network data, develop performance prototypes, and automate processes.
- Use data-driven insights, reverse engineering, and statistical experiments to improve trading results.
- Investigate latency issues and bottlenecks and advise the Trading department on technology setups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve latency issues and improve system efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for infrastructure and justify implementation decisions to the business.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
- Relevant experience covering the Chinese Equity Market.
- Strong knowledge of computer internals, networking, and Linux systems.
- Programming experience in Python and/or C++.
- Experience with system-level performance tuning, data analysis, and low-latency hardware.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders.
- Interest or experience in trading and reverse engineering is a plus.
