Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test embedded software for vehicles, batteries, chargers, and ground systems.
- Work hands-on with hardware, sensors, power electronics, and onboard components in the lab.
- Use logs, test equipment, and experiments to investigate unexpected behavior and develop reliable fixes.
- Build automated tests to catch regressions and support safe real-world system behavior.
- Own a scoped project from initial requirements through validation with engineering mentorship.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, ideally as a junior or senior.
- Strong understanding of core engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to open-ended firmware problems.
- Experience with embedded platforms such as ESP32, STM, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Proficiency in Unix.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with engineers in a hands-on firmware development environment.
