Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end features across Go backend services and React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout components.
- Build buyer checkout capabilities including payment links, embeddable web components, and WalletConnect-based wallet connection flows.
- Implement payment workflows for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation using Temporal and PostgreSQL.
- Design and maintain gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobuf definitions, database migrations, and TypeScript client integrations.
- Instrument services with structured logs, metrics, and Datadog traces, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, CDP, Base, and Coinbase Business teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into the developer platform.
- Write design documents, pull request descriptions, and runbooks that support cross-team collaboration and operational maturity.
- Use generative AI tools and copilots responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems.
- Professional experience with Go, including concurrency, gRPC, and testing.
- Professional experience with TypeScript and React, including hooks, suspense, server components, and Next.js.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query performance, and transactional correctness.
- Experience designing APIs with protobuf/gRPC, REST, or OpenAPI.
- Experience instrumenting production systems with structured observability tools such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with durable workflow systems such as Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions, or with EVM blockchains, stablecoins, and onchain payment patterns.
- Ability to use generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, or Glean responsibly with human-in-the-loop practices.
