
Lead AI Architect - Build PA's AI Capability

Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and direction of the AI capability team.
- Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, technical standards, accelerators, and reusable components for enterprise AI.
- Track AI models, frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure and decide what to adopt, test, or ignore.
- Architect, prototype, code, review code, and deliver secure, scalable AI solutions integrated with enterprise environments.
- Design multi-agent systems, tool-using agents, human-in-the-loop workflows, knowledge layers, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and cost controls.
- Advise client executives on technical architecture, risk, cost, speed, build-versus-buy, cloud strategy, models, and platform decisions.
- Support technical solutioning, client workshops, proposal architecture, and business development.
- Mentor engineers, data scientists, and consultants and raise technical standards across PA and Jacobs.
- Contribute to international collaboration and thought leadership in AI and engineering.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience architecting and delivering AI, data, or software solutions in enterprise environments as an architect, principal engineer, tech lead, or CTO.
- Deep practical knowledge of LLMs, prompt and context engineering, fine-tuning, model selection, RAG, vector databases, knowledge graphs, semantic layers, agentic orchestration, tool use, MCP, LLMOps, MLOps, evaluation, observability, and AI security.
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid software engineering skills with the ability to build in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration, identity, and security in complex organizations.
- Working knowledge of responsible AI, the EU AI Act, GDPR, and data sovereignty.
- Ability to communicate complex technology clearly to senior non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary, cross-organizational teams involving engineers, data scientists, and business consultants.
- Fluent English and Danish.
- Consulting or client-facing advisory experience is a plus.
- Experience in financial services, the public sector, energy, health, or other regulated industries is a plus.
- Experience building or leading technical teams or communities of practice is a plus.
- Public contributions such as open-source work, talks, articles, or side projects are a plus.
