Senior Software Engineer | Remote | AI SaaS Software Role
Process StreetResponsibilities
- Architect and evolve backend systems using Scala, Play, Postgres, and AWS.
- Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
- Own feature development end to end from ideation through production.
- Build frontend features with React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state-management tools.
- Develop and maintain agent-driven development workflows using tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
- Create internal tooling, prompts, and engineering systems that improve velocity and code quality.
- Optimize performance across frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipelines.
- Define best practices for AI-native software development.
- Eventually lead a small team of 2–3 engineers and shape their AI-enabled workflows.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend systems experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong JavaScript and React experience.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
- Comfort working across multi-session, agent-driven workflows.
- Experience designing systems, not only implementing features.
- Experience building custom LLM development workflows, internal tools, prompts, reusable skills, or agent-like systems is expected or strongly relevant.
- Excellent written communication and comfort with asynchronous work.
- Ability to work in a timezone between UTC -6 and UTC +2.
- Functional programming and internal developer tooling experience are bonus qualifications.
