Base Salary

$93k - $126k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Independently complete technical projects and lead other engineers.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements and develop supporting designs.
  • Design and write embedded software code.
  • Develop, document, and support testing for products, systems, and subsystems.
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Document component and subsystem specifications.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier subsystems and services.
  • Apply software engineering and computer science fundamentals to develop, test, and document software solutions.
  • Plan and review test cases and participate in software code reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers, systems engineers, software architects, and other technical staff.
  • Communicate clearly with company personnel and customers and support the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience delivering high-quality applications.
  • Programming experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, and Java.
  • Practical experience working with embedded hardware.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and development.
  • Experience following formal software development processes.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows.
  • Experience with software version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Strong algorithm design, problem-solving, complexity-analysis, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day guidance and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary.
