Base Salary
$218k - $388k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, build, and maintain large-scale backend software systems supporting trust and safety across applications and platforms.
- Write documentation and code while working cross-functionally to plan and deliver platform features.
- Improve system design and architecture for service stability and performance.
- Provide solutions supporting risk and response business functions.
- Build and enhance user-facing features with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a rapid product development environment.
- Mentor junior-level team members.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field plus 2 years of related experience; or bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive related experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and architecting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using object-oriented design and distributed programming.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed, and low-latency backend workflow orchestration architecture.
- At least 2 years of experience maintaining and debugging software services.
- At least 2 years of experience across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of backend or cloud-native projects.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and managing databases for online services using MySQL or Redis.
- At least 2 years of experience providing peer review and feedback on programmed code.
