Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand business processes, technical environments, and integration requirements.
  • Translate client needs into scalable API and system-integration solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and support RESTful APIs and services using .NET and C#.
  • Build integrations between Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solutions and client or third-party applications.
  • Create API specifications, data mappings, integration diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical recommendations, integration guidance, and implementation support to clients.
  • Troubleshoot API, data, authentication, performance, and system-integration issues.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions and review integration designs for improvement.
  • Build automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and apply secure development practices.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, implementation, and client teams and provide technical guidance to less-experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft .NET and C# development skills, including ASP.NET Core, Web API, and RESTful services.
  • Experience with API design, development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and enterprise or third-party system integrations.
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, HTTP, API authentication methods, SQL Server, relational database design, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Entity Framework, LINQ, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Dependency Injection.
  • Experience with unit-testing frameworks such as NUnit or Microsoft testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and source-control tools such as Git or TFS.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Supporting experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Elasticsearch, MVC, MVVM, and service-oriented architecture is valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two or more years of software-development, API integration, or technical-consulting experience.
  • Experience gathering client requirements, creating technical integration solutions, and working directly with clients during design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solutions, frameworks, APIs, or related business processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other team members is a plus.
