Responsibilities
- Design and execute infrastructure strategy, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices across multiple portfolio companies.
- Build AWS environments from scratch and maintain existing production infrastructure.
- Manage AWS networking, security services, databases, compute, load balancing, certificates, DNS, and web application security.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, IIS, licensing, PowerShell scripting, and basic operating-system hardening.
- Install and configure Windows-based third-party software and troubleshoot service and connectivity issues.
- Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD, scripting, automation, monitoring, and alerting.
- Document systems and conduct clear knowledge-transfer and handoff sessions.
- Collaborate across global teams in a consulting and multi-client environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on production AWS infrastructure experience, including building environments from scratch and maintaining existing setups.
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, NAT and Internet Gateways, routing, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Experience with AWS security services including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Experience provisioning and managing RDS databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with EC2, ALB, ACM, Route 53, AWS WAF, and CloudWatch or similar monitoring and alerting tools.
- Windows Server administration experience covering Active Directory, IIS, licensing, PowerShell, and basic OS hardening.
- Familiarity with .NET and Python runtime environments on Windows.
- Production experience with Terraform and CI/CD, plus familiarity with Agile iterative delivery.
- Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or Akamai CDN.
- Familiarity with Azure, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, or Mux Enterprise.
- Proficiency in Python or Go for scripting and automation.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Helm, or advanced EKS scaling.
- Previous consulting or multi-client experience.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, and knowledge-transfer skills.
