Responsibilities
- Contribute to product and system specifications and architecture with product architects and owners.
- Define functional, operational, interface, and performance software requirements.
- Design software architectures, decompose components, and allocate requirements.
- Make technical decisions involving tools, methodologies, and microprocessor platforms.
- Lead software and hardware integration and prepare and perform tests.
- Create reusable code, reference libraries, and model-based developments.
- Collaborate with product development, quality, safety, and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to innovative embedded software solutions for the rail mobility industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, ECE, EEE, or an equivalent field.
- 15+ years of experience in product and software development, preferably in complex embedded systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Rust, and Python, plus microservices development.
- Experience with RTOS platforms such as Linux and VxWorks or equivalent.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Ethernet protocols such as TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with CENELEC SIL4, DO178A, and DO178B standards.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, analytical, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and learn technologies specific to the railway domain.
