Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and technical teams to translate ambiguous business goals into software platform designs.
- Design, develop, test, operate, and improve scalable distributed services for the Item & Offer Platform.
- Build multi-tiered, multi-threaded, extensible software that processes large volumes of catalog, pricing, inventory, and relationship updates.
- Apply software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, continuous deployments, and operational excellence.
- Communicate technical designs and product features and contribute to high-performing engineering teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Experience with object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and at least one modern programming language.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent experience or qualifying engineering education may substitute in the stated alternatives.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, distributed computing, large distributed IT systems, and 5+ years of server-side development.
- Preferred experience includes communicating with users, technical teams, and management; debugging and profiling large-scale systems; and recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, or managing software engineers.
