Base Salary
$176k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop low-latency, deterministic C++ software for vehicle edge compute to process data and control the vehicle.
- Design and maintain the high-performance messaging stack routing data between modules.
- Write driver interfaces and safety monitors that interact directly with vehicle hardware.
- Build onboard system infrastructure for data logging, PTP time synchronization, memory management, and process lifecycle management.
- Implement real-time diagnostics, watchdog timers, and redundancy logic to detect and recover from software or hardware faults during drives.
- Maintain secure tooling for building, deploying, and updating operating system and vehicle software images across the fleet.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Python, C++, Bash, Git, Linux kernels, and Docker.
- Experience diagnosing issues with dmesg, kernel logs, systemd, journalctl, and unit or service management.
- Experience with inter-process communication, profiling, benchmarking, and memory management.
- Familiarity with bus protocols, common networking utilities, and sensor interfaces including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and IMUs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
