Responsibilities
- Maintain systems and create technical designs for front-end and back-end development, deployment, data-warehouse integration, user access controls, and data security measures.
- Lead daily operational activities, measure process quality and compliance, and drive automation and continuous improvement for ITIL-aligned processes.
- Develop and implement solutions that improve Vistra’s data architecture, data management processes, and platform performance.
- Engage business users, process owners, architecture, and application teams to define data needs and support key performance indicators and service-level agreements.
- Create policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures that improve data availability, responsiveness, risk mitigation, and business outcomes.
- Use well-structured unit tests, analyze code for errors and vulnerabilities, and develop remediation plans to improve performance and usability.
- Manage cross-team platform initiatives, participate in agile ceremonies, provide domain guidance to less experienced team members, and support training and process adoption.
- Develop production AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, agent architectures, MCP, function calling, and tool-use patterns.
- Apply AI governance practices involving PII handling, output validation, and prompt-injection mitigation.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of professional experience in a technology or business field.
- Experience analyzing code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities and presenting remediation plans.
- Experience managing and delivering departmental initiatives related to supported platforms.
- Experience with system maintenance, technical design, and front-end and/or back-end development and deployment.
- Strong TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and Python production-engineering skills.
- Deep understanding of LLMs, context windows, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector search, plus hands-on experience with agent architectures, MCP, function calling, and tool-use patterns.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Agent Mode, custom instructions, and prompt files.
- Working knowledge of enterprise CMS, CDP, MarTech, Snowflake, and Azure DevOps.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CSM, or AWS are a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, attention-to-detail, relationship-building, and stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to provide executive-level communications and guide team members.
