Base Salary
$63k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design tradeoffs with some guidance.
- Design algorithms and develop embedded software for real-time, resource-constrained targets.
- Analyze designs, demonstrate performance and functionality, and execute software tests against requirements.
- Troubleshoot inefficient or problematic designs and develop corrective solutions.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, presentations, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Contribute to system design and identify design challenges and concerns for project leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Strong embedded-target development and troubleshooting skills, including real-time systems, operating-system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
- Mastery of high-level development languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with UML/SysML, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment.
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
