Responsibilities
- Propose and enhance project test plans with a focus on test automation.
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases and analyze test results.
- Implement automated tests across unit, component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
- Perform exploratory testing, root cause analysis, debugging, application profiling, and performance analysis.
- Define quality metrics, telemetry, and reporting dashboards.
- Conduct chaos, performance, load, and fault-tolerance testing.
- Integrate test execution and static code analysis tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain CI/CD pipeline health while minimizing false positives and ensuring reliable feedback.
- Build and maintain containerized test environments.
- Collaborate with QA, business analysts, development, and DevOps teams to improve test automation and coverage.
- Promote QA best practices and educate teams that quality is everyone’s responsibility.
- Follow and improve quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, shift-left practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Java with an emphasis on automated testing, root cause analysis, and debugging.
- Experience with BDD practices including story refinement, example mapping, acceptance criteria definition, and Three Amigos.
- Experience translating feature specifications into test coverage and test plans.
- Knowledge of application profiling, quality metrics, telemetry, and observability.
- Hands-on experience with chaos testing and performance or load testing for distributed pub/sub low-latency messaging technologies.
- Experience integrating test runs and static code analysis into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building containerized test environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenShift.
- Knowledge of AI tooling applications in QA workflows.
- Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Financial services or trading domain experience is preferred.
