Responsibilities

  • Build and operate AWS GovCloud environments with multi-account structures, guardrails, logging, security tooling, and Terraform-based provisioning.
  • Develop release, patch, staged rollout, and verification machinery for cloud fleets, VM fleets, and appliance-model estates.
  • Build continuous-compliance evidence pipelines for FedRAMP 20x Key Security Indicators.
  • Implement production telemetry, SLOs, dashboards, and alerting owned by SRE and product engineering teams.
  • Consolidate shared pipelines for builds, signing, artifact management, quality gates, and security scanning.
  • Participate in on-call for the GovCloud estate and engineer recurring incident causes out of the system.

Requirements

  • Experience building or operating within FedRAMP Moderate or High, IL4/IL5, or StateRAMP-equivalent boundaries, including continuous monitoring, POA&M lifecycle, patch SLAs, and 3PAO engagement.
  • Specific experience with AWS GovCloud, multi-account landing zones, FIPS endpoints, and cryptographic modes.
  • Experience operating VM fleets or appliance-model environments at scale, not only Kubernetes.
  • Experience owning telemetry and data pipelines, including OpenTelemetry or Grafana-class stacks.
  • Experience with compliance-as-code and evidence automation using OSCAL, machine-readable continuous monitoring, AWS Config rules, or OPA at scale.
  • Experience building test and verification harnesses that validate fleet state against documented requirements.
