Responsibilities

Build and maintain software across the YouVersion platform.
Take tasks from idea through implementation with team support.
Write maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Build and run tests to ensure reliable, user-friendly features.
Debug issues and help keep systems running smoothly.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver features.
Provide ongoing technical support for software.

Foundational software development experience with technologies such as Dart, Swift, JavaScript, or Python.
Experience in at least one technical area: backend/API development, mobile development, web development, or optionally data querying.
Backend candidates should have experience with Python or Golang and a basic understanding of APIs and scalable systems.
Mobile candidates should have experience with Flutter/Dart, iOS/Swift, or Android, plus familiarity with mobile development and testing practices.
Web candidates should have experience with React, Node.js, or similar frameworks and working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
1–3 years of related work experience.
