Sr Staff Engineer - AI Engineering
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into clear and effective LLM prompts.
- Develop, test, and refine prompts across multiple use cases for accuracy and relevance.
- Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into new and existing applications.
- Build a scalable prompt engineering framework that supports reuse and knowledge sharing across business units.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to improve prompt effectiveness.
- Contribute to decisions about LLM tools and platforms and document prompt engineering practices and outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with OpenAI GPT models and Hugging Face.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages used in AI/ML development.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to travel a minimum of two weeks per year.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy, Git, and NLP or machine learning projects.
- Understanding of traditional industry operations and challenges is preferred.
