Base Salary
$181k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision and execution plans for Fastly’s trust and identity infrastructure.
- Design and implement scalable secrets management, PKI, and authentication services.
- Lead ambiguous, technically demanding initiatives with multiple stakeholders and organization-wide impact.
- Partner with Product, Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams to identify and mitigate business or customer risks.
- Establish and promote technical standards, code quality, reliability, and operational maturity.
- Provide occasional on-call coverage during nights and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of technical individual-contributor experience.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management, workload identity management, LDAP, secrets management, or trust systems.
- Strong systems engineering background with deep experience in Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Go, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with infrastructure tooling such as Terraform, Vault, Consul, or Chef.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts and produce comprehensive documentation.
- Experience collaborating across functions and influencing technical decisions at the organizational level.
