Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture of data systems and pipelines that ingest and transform large-scale data across multiple engineering teams and domains.
- Gather requirements, map current architecture, and design future architecture for third-party data ingestion and processing.
- Build, test, maintain, support, and evolve data architecture while working with code, operational tooling, cloud resources, logs, monitoring, and data quality.
- Improve architecture and systems design and establish data engineering standards and best practices at scale.
- Serve as a trusted technical authority for data engineers and collaborate with architects and leaders across engineering, product, and other functions.
- Define and prioritize AI initiatives across integration pipelines, tooling, and engineering workflows, including designing and piloting solutions.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, complex data transformations, and data modeling.
- Proven data architecture experience at the cloud systems level across multiple teams, domains, or projects.
- Experience with data integration patterns such as reusable connectors, schema-drift detection, backfill and replay, and idempotency.
- Strong knowledge of data cloud technologies, data-related services, and cloud database solutions such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Composer/Airflow, BigQuery, Spanner, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Professional proficiency in Python for large-scale data processing and pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic workflows and an ability to incorporate AI into modern architecture and engineering work.
- Fluent English and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building integrations with third-party APIs and external data sources is welcomed.
- Experience in hospitality technology or similar industries such as airlines is welcomed.
