Base Salary

$112k - $131k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade native Android payments applications.
  • Build secure, scalable, high-performing Android solutions integrating with backend services, APIs, SDKs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, MFA, biometrics, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, device registration, and identity management capabilities.
  • Develop reusable Android SDKs, shared libraries, and platform components.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Security, Architecture, and Backend Engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Apply Android security practices including OWASP Mobile Top 10, encryption, certificate pinning, secure storage, and secure coding.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, Agile ceremonies, CI/CD release processes, and automated testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, remediate vulnerabilities, support defect triage, and provide on-call support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to six years of relevant Android development experience, with 5+ years preferred.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Studio, Android Architecture Components, coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture patterns.
  • Experience building enterprise Android applications distributed through the Google Play Store and enterprise MDM channels.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, mobile-to-backend integrations, backend-driven applications, Android SDKs, and shared libraries.
  • Experience implementing MFA, biometrics, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token activation, device registration, encryption, and secure storage.
  • Experience integrating IAM platforms such as Transmit Security, Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Gradle, Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Espresso, JUnit, Mockito, release management, and Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience supporting penetration-testing remediation, vulnerability management, security compliance, production incidents, and high-scale applications in regulated environments.
  • Banking, financial services, payments, or FinTech experience is preferred; Kotlin Multiplatform and Android tablet experience are pluses.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, collaboration, code review, and technical design discussion skills.
