Responsibilities
- Set long-term architecture, technical strategy, and investment direction for core OCI deployment-platform services and APIs.
- Lead multi-year initiatives delivering resilient, scalable deployment workflows and reusable platform primitives.
- Align organizations and senior stakeholders around platform strategy, engineering principles, and execution roadmaps.
- Define platform-wide safety, reliability, isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, observability, recovery, and deployment standards.
- Establish technical foundations, governance models, and safeguards for AI- and agent-assisted engineering.
- Drive high-leverage opportunities using operational data, customer needs, technology trends, and developer-ecosystem knowledge.
- Provide architecture leadership, technical mentorship, cross-team design governance, and enduring engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex, production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools at significant scale.
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
- Recognized expertise in architecture and system design, including scalable APIs, data models, and service ecosystems.
- Understanding of cloud-native systems, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
- Senior Principal-level leadership experience establishing technical vision, influencing executives and senior engineering leaders, and driving outcomes across complex systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex concepts, building consensus, and influencing cross-functional decisions.
- Preferred experience includes application deployment platforms, continuous delivery, GitOps, artifact management, developer platforms, large-scale distributed systems, multi-tenant cloud services, control planes, workflow orchestration, reliability engineering, observability, security engineering, identity and access management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, compliance automation, or AI-assisted developer tools.
