Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical vision and strategy for reliable, secure, and scalable OCI Developer Platform deployment capabilities.
- Shape and deliver complex distributed systems, platform services, developer tools, APIs, data models, and service ecosystems at significant scale.
- Align multiple organizations, executives, and senior engineering leaders around durable platform strategy and sustained technical outcomes.
- Drive improvements in developer velocity while maintaining safety, governance, reliability, security, and operability.
- Establish foundations for adoption of agentic engineering and autonomous or semi-autonomous enterprise systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools at significant scale.
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
- Recognized depth in architecture and system design, including APIs, data models, scalability, availability, security, operability, and long-term business impact.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native systems, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
- Senior Principal-level leadership experience establishing technical vision, influencing executives and senior engineering leaders, aligning organizations, and driving sustained outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts, building consensus, and influencing cross-functional decisions.
- Preferred experience includes application deployment platforms, continuous delivery, GitOps, artifact management, developer platform engineering, distributed systems, multi-tenant cloud services, control planes, workflow orchestration, platform architecture, and multi-year technology strategy.
- Preferred experience also includes reliability engineering, production incident leadership, observability, capacity strategy, performance engineering, security engineering, identity and access management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, compliance automation, AI-assisted developer tools, agentic workflows, or safety architecture and governance.
