Base Salary
$208k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Expand reliability standards and operational tooling across product engineering.
- Architect and manage SLO and error-budget programs.
- Drive adoption of progressive delivery, automated safety gates, and rollback infrastructure.
- Guide product teams on production readiness, observability, incident response, and deployment health.
- Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams to build intuitive self-service platform features.
- Direct critical incident response and ensure post-mortem actions produce lasting platform improvements.
- Scale reliability safeguards for increased code-change volume from AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- More than 8 years of professional experience in backend systems, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
- Proven experience designing reliability programs such as service maturity models or SLI frameworks with cross-team adoption.
- Direct experience building or operating canary rollout systems, metric-gated analysis, or automated rollback infrastructure.
- Technical proficiency in software development, preferably with Go or similar systems languages.
- Ability to influence engineering culture and drive organizational change without formal authority.
- Strong technical judgment in high-stakes production scenarios.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, service mesh technologies, Prometheus, or ArgoCD is preferred.
