$66k - $106k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement well-scoped Android features and bug fixes in Kotlin under experienced engineering guidance.
- Build Android user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests.
- Use Git or the team’s version-control workflow to create changes, request reviews, and address feedback.
- Investigate defects using reproduction steps, logs, debuggers, and crash reports.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, quality, and mobile teams to clarify behavior and edge cases.
- Participate in planning, standups, demos, retrospectives, and release activities.
- Document implementation details and share technical learnings.
- Follow practices for accessibility, performance, security, privacy, analytics, and error handling.
- Communicate blockers, ask questions, and participate in feedback and professional growth.
Requirements
- BS/BA with two years of experience or a high school diploma/equivalent with six years of experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Kotlin or Java and object-oriented programming.
- Understanding of Android activities, fragments or Compose screens, lifecycle, resources, navigation, and app state.
- Experience building at least one Android application through coursework, internship, bootcamp, employment, open-source work, or a personal project.
- Basic familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous work, local data storage, and debugging tools.
- Ability to write readable code, decompose small problems, and explain implementation choices.
- Working knowledge of Git or another version-control system.
- U.S. citizenship and authorization consistent with the company’s hiring policy.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred exposure to Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flow, ViewModel, dependency injection, Android architecture patterns, Android Studio, Gradle, emulators, device testing, and Google Play releases.
- Preferred experience with APIs, UI state, loading and error handling, local-data caching, mobile accessibility, performance, privacy, secure coding, CI/CD, code review, agile delivery, iOS, Kotlin Multiplatform, or other mobile platforms.

- Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
