Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain security measures across systems and software development processes, including hardening, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Implement secure configuration and compliance controls in colocation and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate security practices into daily operations and the software development lifecycle.
- Assist with detection, containment, reporting, and other activities in the security incident response process.
- Deploy, integrate, configure, upgrade, patch, troubleshoot, and maintain security software and solutions.
- Use AI tools and platforms to support security analysis, scripting, log review, documentation, decision-making, and workflow efficiency.
- Support secure use of AI coding assistants and security of AI/ML workloads, agent integrations, MCP servers, API keys, service accounts, and data boundaries.
- Document findings and coordinate remediation with development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 0–2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work additional or irregular hours as needed and comply with security policies and procedures.
- Preferred healthcare industry experience.
- Experience using AI assistants and agentic tools such as Claude or Gemini, with familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-output evaluation.
- Awareness of AI/LLM risks, including prompt injection, prompt-based data leakage, insecure output handling, and excessive agent permissions.
- Security certification or active pursuit of Security+, SSCP, GIAC GSEC, or AWS/Azure security fundamentals certification.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP security services and secure configuration.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Snyk and Wiz and SIEM/EDR platforms such as Google SecOps and CrowdStrike.
- Scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with HITRUST CSF, HIPAA Security Rule, NIST CSF/800-53, and CIS Benchmarks.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices, including pipeline security, infrastructure-as-code scanning, and secret detection.
- Clear written communication for documenting findings and coordinating remediation.
