Responsibilities
- Review system requirements and designs and create or review test cases, scripts, plans, and strategies.
- Define test execution priorities, perform impact analysis, and estimate testing work.
- Recommend, implement, and use test-management, defect-management, performance-testing, and automation tools.
- Execute manual and automated testing across UI, system/integration, API, and business layers.
- Write unit tests, enhance code testability, implement test-support features, document API endpoints, and fix minor defects found during testing.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, log and track defects through closure, and produce comprehensive test reports.
- Coordinate defect and test-result status with engineers and communicate project issues, schedule impacts, and performance issues to the project manager.
- Work within an Agile Scrum team and collaborate with the lead on test planning and execution.
- Continuously learn and improve testing techniques, technologies, tools, and processes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on software-testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and one or more of C#, Java, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and NUnit.
- Experience with UI, system/integration, API, and Agile testing.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, test-strategy design, testing-estimation techniques, database manipulation using SQL, and Agile testing.
- Advanced programming knowledge including custom exceptions, LINQ, dependency injection, loose coupling, design patterns, architecture patterns, and data structures such as dictionaries, lists, and hash sets.
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development using tools such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
- Performance-testing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud, ETL, and DevOps concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills, along with proficient written and verbal English.
- Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, ethical, and able to work effectively as a team player.
