Responsibilities
- Contribute to software specifications and architecture with software architects.
- Develop software components through detailed design and coding using C/C++.
- Set up the software development toolchain and maintain software work products under configuration management.
- Specify, design, prepare, and perform tests and verifications of deliverables.
- Support software/software and hardware/software integration.
- Apply quality processes and standards, standardize reusable solutions and COTS, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Monitor technological advancements and collaborate with software, hardware, and integration teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing software with C/C++.
- Knowledge of Linux, networking, and protocols.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and shell utilities.
- Experience with Git and GitLab; PC-Lint experience is optional.
- Experience formulating subsystem requirements and producing technical documentation.
- Experience in vital or secure software development and the railway domain is advantageous.
