Base Salary
$320k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build real-time risk decisioning systems for transaction scoring.
- Develop tooling and automation for the dispute and chargeback lifecycle.
- Engineer fraud signals at scale to detect monetization abuse.
- Own and manage a portfolio of key fraud metrics.
- Lead investigations into emerging fraud patterns and develop defenses.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, support, legal, and data science teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools.
- Experience in building or operating fraud detection systems in production.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on payments fraud or risk is preferred.
- Fluency with payment systems and understanding of fraud loss accounting is a plus.
- Experience with hybrid rules-and-ML risk systems is advantageous.
