Base Salary
$169k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust, scalable AI-powered solutions for engineering productivity and customer-facing products.
- Lead technical initiatives using agentic AI, LLMs, machine learning, and AI-powered development tools to automate workflows and improve software quality.
- Develop scalable platforms and services integrating AI capabilities into commercial payment and money movement systems.
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, create design artifacts, and deliver software features end to end.
- Drive experimentation with emerging AI technologies and establish technical adoption and architecture standards.
- Develop technical documentation and contribute to standard documentation processes.
- Mentor others and provide domain expertise across Visa technical offerings.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, 5 years with an advanced degree, 2 years with a PhD, or 11 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred experience includes 9 years with a bachelor's degree, 7 years with an advanced degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks, LLMs, generative AI applications, or machine learning applications.
- Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, or with building similar systems.
- Experience applying AI to engineering challenges or customer-facing product features.
- Understanding of commercial payments, money movement, B2B payables, or payment processing.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern architectures.
- Knowledge of API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.
- Expertise in at least one general development language such as Java, C#, or C++.
- A master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least six years of directly related experience, or a bachelor's degree in those fields with at least eight years of directly related experience, or at least eleven years of directly related experience.
