Base Salary
$164k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and remediate key security gaps in Databricks infrastructure and services.
- Create the vision and define the strategy for data security and security engineering.
- Represent security engineering throughout the organization and promote data-driven practices.
- Lead across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Attract top security engineering talent.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in data security or related areas.
- Expertise in at least two areas including cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, trust, safety, authentication, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, or detection and response.
- At least 5 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Leadership experience working across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills for explaining and evangelizing data security to senior company leaders.
- Master's or PhD in computer science or a related field.
- Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is preferred.
