Base Salary

$95k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in embedded system development across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and evaluate complex real-time embedded software for resource-constrained computing environments.
  • Contribute across the software lifecycle, including architecture, requirements analysis, implementation, evaluation, and release.
  • Assess customer needs and evaluate candidate technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Lead embedded systems development teams and provide technical and management oversight.
  • Identify system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
  • Work on embedded applications for imaging systems, device, process, and vehicle controllers, and navigation and mapping systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or a master's degree with applicable experience.
  • 10–15 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 7–10 years with a master's degree in embedded software development or applicable experience.
  • Expertise in embedded system development and strong development and troubleshooting skills on embedded targets.
  • Experience with in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment.
  • Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, hardware subsystems, and real-time execution.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert and lead multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
