Responsibilities

  • Develop perception systems for autonomous mining vehicles using LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and cameras.
  • Build LiDAR point-cloud algorithms for ground segmentation, clustering, obstacle extraction, and drivable-area detection.
  • Develop environmental understanding and online local environment models for road boundaries, free space, occupancy, and terrain traversability.
  • Develop detection algorithms for mining-site objects including slopes, rocks, debris, vehicles, and people.
  • Develop and optimize LiDAR deep-learning detection models, including PointPillars, CenterPoint, PV-RCNN, and VoxelNet.
  • Design and implement post-fusion of rule-based detection and AI-model detection results.
  • Develop 4D millimeter-wave radar detection, clustering, tracking, velocity-estimation, and clutter-suppression algorithms.
  • Build multi-sensor fusion systems coordinating LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and cameras.
  • Deploy perception systems, optimize runtime performance, and establish data feedback loops to improve perception quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, automation, robotics, electronic information, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
  • At least three years of perception-algorithm development experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or intelligent equipment.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python, with familiarity with Linux development and ROS/ROS2.
  • Strong understanding of point-cloud processing workflows including ground segmentation, clustering, object detection, and tracking, plus experience developing LiDAR rule-based detection algorithms.
  • Familiarity with PointPillars, CenterPoint, PV-RCNN, Voxel R-CNN, and BEVFusion, including experience with post-fusion and reliable perception architecture.
  • Familiarity with traditional and 4D millimeter-wave radar principles and experience with radar point-cloud clustering, tracking, velocity estimation, and clutter filtering.
  • Experience with autonomous-driving perception-system architecture, data-flow design, large-scale data analysis, and issue diagnosis.
  • Preferred experience includes 4D millimeter-wave radar detection, radar-LiDAR fusion, CUDA, TensorRT deployment optimization, production autonomous-driving projects, mining or other closed-site autonomous driving, SOTIF, multi-sensor fusion, autonomous haul trucks, engineering-equipment automation, or map-light and unstructured-road environment modeling.
