Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead complex platform security engineering initiatives across multiple systems, services, and engineering domains.
- Define secure target states, reference architectures, design patterns, technical standards, and control requirements.
- Lead security reviews for platform services, infrastructure patterns, and shared-service integrations.
- Build scalable controls and secure-by-default platform capabilities that improve risk posture and reduce engineering friction.
- Embed security requirements into CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, deployment models, runtime operations, and service lifecycle management.
- Partner with product, platform, infrastructure, developer, and security teams to align technical decisions and delivery priorities.
- Evaluate and adopt platform security technologies, patterns, and automation opportunities.
- Translate policy and control expectations into practical engineering solutions and measurable implementation guidance.
- Identify and remediate systemic platform risks, recurring control failures, and engineering weaknesses.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to secure engineering practices and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Typically 8 or more years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated portfolio consistent with the role’s requirements.
- Deep experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, security engineering, or a combination of these domains.
- Experience owning major technical initiatives involving secure platform design, control implementation, or engineering workflow transformation.
- Strong experience defining standards, patterns, or reusable solutions adopted across multiple teams.
- Experience influencing engineering decisions through technical expertise and cross-functional partnership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical risks and tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated mentoring or technical leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise or domain-level secure platform strategies, policy as code, platform governance, large-scale security automation, high-availability or regulated environments, roadmap planning, and securing AWS infrastructure is preferred.
