Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components.
- Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, orchestration patterns, and backend integrations.
- Define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks, and analyze AI system failure cases.
- Improve system quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on the design, deployment, and improvement of production AI systems.
- Contribute to backend services, APIs, internal tools, and lightweight user interfaces as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027.
- Solid programming skills in Python or Java, with backend engineering familiarity preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data.
- Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and turn ideas into working prototypes.
- Comfort with quickly learning and working in a fast-moving environment.
- Availability for a six-month full-time commitment.
- Bonus experience may include ontology/semantica, personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications or agent systems, and familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, workflow tools, Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms.
